He belonged to village Tikri in district Meerut, U.P. He served in the 4/19 Hyderabad Regiment of British Indian Army but joined the Azad Hind Fauj as a Naik in the IV Guerrilla Regiment. He gave his life in action at the Imphal front in 1944.
