On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) and under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a Cycle Rally from Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) to Kevadiya (Gujarat) is being organised by CISF to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The CISF Cycle Rally started from the Trivandrum on 29.09.2021 and have arrived at Mumbai on 20.10.2021. During their arrival, a grand reception was organised on 20.10.2021 at Colaba and for departure from Mumbai on 22.10.2021, a flag-off ceremony of Cycle Rally has been organised in a befitting manner at Gateway of India.
During which, the Chairman, Mumbai Port Trust, Shri. Rajiv Jalota, IAS; Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, Shri. Hemant Nagrale, IPS; IG CISF, Mumbai, Shri. Anil Kumar, Additional Director General CISF; Shri. K. N. Tripathi, Inspector General; Shri. Manoj Kumar Sharma, DIG, CISF; Smt. Neeti Mittal, Sr. Commandant, Shri. U. R. Mohan Raju, Secretary, MbPT, Shri. B. Chand, Dy. Conservator, MbPT, Shri. Manas Mandal, CME, MbPT, Shri. Vishnu Swarup and Mumbai Port Trust CISF Commandant, Shri. Ranjit Kumar Sahni, were present.
Shri. Ranjit Kumar Sahani, Commandant, CISF, welcomed the dignitaries and freedom fighter families of late Shri. Nagen T. Roy and late Shri. Lahoo Ramchandra Satardekar, were felicitated by bouquet and Shawl. After that, these cycle rally participants were felicitated by giving them garland as well as momento. Thereafter, the Rally was flagged off by the above dignitaries.
