Under the program of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Swachhh Bharat Campaign was started by Rural Development Department at Khanmoh-B in connection with Meri Mati, Mera Desh. The event was hosted by Gram Panchayat authorities and the venue was : Panchayat Ghar- Khanmoh- B. The chief guest for the event was: BDC Vice Chairpersons, Khanmoh.. The Sarpanch of the Panchayat Halqa along with the concerned Panches of the wards, students and the residents of nearby from halqa also participated in the event. In connection with the summary of the event that was hosted by the officials of the Panchayat Khanmoh- C , the arrival of the chief guest was marked by the warm welcome address by the Secretary of the Panchayat Halqa – Khanmoh-B. After this, the cleanliness drive was commenced at the venue by the participants along with the chief guest. In the content of the campaign , the litter and the debris and plastic waste from nearby venue and other places was cleared by the participants. Also , the door to door waste collection from households was also done in which the people were made aware about the utilization segregation of dry and wet waste . The waste so collected during the drive was dispatched for onward treatment in waste treatment plants that is Block centric process. After the cleanliness drive, the chief guest impressed upon all to make India Clean and Healthy and glorify the essence of 75 th year of Independence in letter and spirit. The event witnessed an attendance of more than 29 people.
