Ministry of MSME, through Development Commissioner (MSME), is implementing Technology Centre Systems Program (TCSP). TCSP is a multi-faceted program to develop the competitiveness of the MSME ecosystem in India by establishing 15 new Technology Centres (TC) and by upgrading the existing TCs. Projected outlay on TCSP is Rs. 2,200 cr. and is co-funded by World Bank.
The upcoming Technology Centres will provide assistance to industry predominantly MSMEs in general engineering, automotive, fragrance & flavour and ESDM sectors. TCs are being equipped with multiple cutting-edge manufacturing technologies such as CNC machines, 3D /additive manufacturing , laser/ultrasonic machining, robotics and process automation, precision measurement/metrology equipment, state-of-the art electronics manufacturing facilities, calibration and testing facilities etc.
Under TCSP, a new TC has been setup at Rohtak with an investment of approximate Rs.127cr. This TC has been developed on land parcel of approx. 20 acres and includes training block, production block, admin block, auditorium, residential block for students and staff quarters. The focus sector of TC Rohtak is general engineering. This is expected to support and strengthen MSMEs of the region to improve competitiveness through training, production and consultancy support. Rohtak TC will also contribute towards skilling of youth to make them employable by imparting courses relevant to the industry. It is expected to train approximately 8,400 students annually at its full capacity.This Centre was dedicated to the nation today (17th September 2021) and was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister, MSME.
