Two indiginious products of Manipur viz Sirarakhong Chilli locally known known as Hathei in Tangkhul Dialect and Tamenglong orange have been granted GI Tag by Government of India. This is a historic milestone in the history of Manipur. Granting of GI Tag would definitely motivate and inspire the farmers to work harder to boost the production of local chilli and organge for doubling their annual income from the sale.
