The students and faculty of Indo Global Group of Colleges celebrated National Patriotic Day on 26th January 2022. The function was jointly organized by all the colleges of Indo Global Group, Abhipur, New Chandigarh. The celebrations were planned to pay tribute to veterans of India who spent their life in protecting the nation along with martyrs who sacrificed their life for Indian soil. The Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor with the staff, students to mark the 75th year of freedom from British rule. On this special occasion, the program started with flag hoisting by the Principal Dr. Promila Kaushal, Dr. Hardeep Singh Saini, Ar. Ruchi Lakhani and Dr. Karamjit Singh. The Principals addressed the gathering appealing to their nationalistic spirit and urging them to take pride in being an Indian and fulfilling one’s duty with responsibility. They also emphasized the role of youth today as the true wealth of a country.
To promote and popularize the role of every citizen in National upliftment, and National service in a non-formal manner among the students, the day was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
Led by Principals of all the colleges of Indo Global Campus, the awareness Flag walk started from the Indo Global College of Engineering campus building on Abhipur-Mirzapur Road and halfway ended at the Gochhar Village. The students and staff of Indo Global Group of Colleges carried National Flags and banners, highlighting messages regarding the importance of the celebration of Patriotic Day.
The message was conveyed to all residents of nearby villages, through this awareness flag march, which was aimed at sensitizing everyone to various domains of character building enriching one’s knowledge about the Indian Freedom struggle, and fostering the remembrance of forgotten heroes and their stories of freedom struggle.
