On the occasion of Indian Army Day (15th January), High Commissioner Dr. Virander Paul, accompanied by Brig. Sumit Mehta and Defence Advisor Capt. Nitesh Garg (Indian Navy), along with officers of Kenyan Defence Forces (KDF) and Indian community leaders paid tributes at Taveta and Maktau Indian Cemeteries in Kenya in remembrance of the Indian soldiers who laid down their lives, fighting in the East African campaign of the 1st World War (1914-18)
