132 kV Kumarghat GIS is dedicated to the nation on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day by Sh. Bhagaban Chandra Das, Hon’ble Minister for Labour, SC-ST Welfare & Animal Resource Department, Govt of Tripura.
GIS Substation occupies less space compared to Air Insulated Substations (AIS) Substation, More reliable compared to AIS, a number of outages due to the fault is less and Maintenance Free.
This Substation will increase the reliability & quality of power in Tripura and other neighboring states of NER.
