NTPC is always committed to the people of surrounding Villages of its plants/projects through its various initiatives of Community Development. One such initiative of providing clean drinking water and developing the educational infrastructure is the installation of a Water ATM at the Konapure High School Aherwadi, Solapur.
On India’s Republic Day celebrations, under NTPC Solapur’s R&R initiatives, the inauguration of Water ATM at Konapure High School Aherwadi, Solapur was done by Sh. N. Srinivasa Rao, CGM NTPC-Solapur in the presence of Smt. Vijaya Rao, President, Srijana Mahila Mandal, Sh. Rajeev Atotkar, GM (O&M) along with Smt. Piyusha Atotkar and the staff of the school. The initiative will provide access to free clean drinking water to the 1000 children of the school.
The event has been observed as Action of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” with the presence of about 60 nos. of employees, Mahila Mandal staff, school staff, school children & community members and conducted successfully maintaining Covid protocols.
