As part of the AKAM celebration, a Fire Safety Training Session/Workshop followed by practical drills for Apprentices was conducted at PPPU, Thirumayam on 13.01.2022 (Thursday) at BHEL-PPPU, Thirumayam under the Theme Action @ 75: Skill India by BHEL Fire Safety Team. AKAM Banners and Message of Hon’ble Minister of Heavy Industries and Hon’ble Minister of State of Ministry of Heavy Industries, Govt. of India was placed in the location where the Fire Safety Training Session and Practical Drill was conducted. The message of Hon’ble Minister and Hon’ble Minister of State of Ministry of Heavy Industries, Govt. of India was read out before the start of the Fire Safety Training Session. A total of (25) Apprentices (Graduate, Technician, and Trade) participated in the training session by involving them in the fire safety drills. The Apprentices handled Water (H2O), Powder (Dry Chemical Powder) and Foam (Aqua Film Form Form) based Fire Extinguishers to extinguish artificial fire created for the practice drill. A service Fire tender was also utilized to attend to any emergency situation.
