March 28, 2024 to March 28, 2025

Hafiz Abdul Kadir was born in 1907 in Kataar Shaheed, NayiAabadi, Muradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. His father Abdul Rehman, raised him in their native land where he received his primary education. Driven by a deep love for his motherland he mobilized people from villages, encouraging them to join the freedom struggle.

Meetings among freedom fighters, including Iftekhar Hussain Faridi, Professor Ram Saran and Shri DauDayal Khanna, were held at Jugul Kishore Sharma's hotel in BhureKhakigali, Amrol Gate BajratanLalbreri. However, upon receiving news of these gatherings, British authorities sealed the hotel and arrested all the occupants, including Abdul Kadir.

Throughout the struggle, Hafiz Abdul Kadir endured imprisonment three times, each for six months. His stints included time in Firozpur jail from 2 January 1932 to 15 June 1932 and from 17 October 1930 to 6 March 1931. He was also transferred from Muradabad jail to Bijnor on 24 October 1930. Despite these hardships, he continued his revolutionary activities upon release.

In recognition of his significant contributions to the freedom movement, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi honoured him with a Tamra Patra on behalf of the nation.
